MINTY BETS: It's championship weekend in college football. I'm Minty Bets joined by Pam Maldonado. And she is here to give you her best bet. Pam, which championship game are you looking to?

PAMELA MALDONADO: I'm looking to the Friday game as my best bet, taking the under 59 and 1/2 for Oregon versus Utah in the Pac 12 championship. We just lost this game a couple of weeks ago where Utah rolled at home, 38 to 7. But now this is being played on a neutral field, which leads me to believe that this could be more competitive. Now a more competitive [INAUDIBLE] does mean more ground game success. But what happens when you have two rushing teams who are top 12 in rushing yards whose both defense is against the run?

I like the under 59 and 1/2. The Ducks in first game rushed for only 63 yards and 2.7 yards per carry. The Ducks' season average is 216 rushing yards per game and 5 and 1/2 yards per carry. Either the same thing is going to happen and Utah rolls again because of their stout defense or we could see more success on the ground from both teams, which means time off the clock. What is really surprising to me is that this game, of all the games for the championships, this is the only one that is lined exactly the same as the first match-up-- 59 and 1/2 in the first meet, 59 and 1/2 in this one-- while others were adjusted.

I like the under. Both teams are bottom half for plays per game. And Utah is top 20 in touchdowns allowed. Utah definitely being less dominant here on defense, playing in Vegas instead of at home. But I think we definitely see more rushing success from both squads, more competitive, potentially a closer match-up. I love the under, 59 and 1/2 for the Pac 12 championship.
