MINTY BETS: The 2022 NHL season just ended. And I'm already looking ahead to 2023. I'm Minty Bets. And here are three teams I like to win the Stanley Cup who aren't the Colorado Avalanche.

First up, the Florida Panthers. This was the hottest team offensively last season and I expect them to stay hot. Sergei Bobrovsky has not had his best years since joining Florida, but he did record the most wins in his career last year. So I think that's worth something. The Panthers are under a new head coach in Paul Maurice, who has a ton of experience coaching in the NHL. So I like them to win the Stanley Cup.

Next up, the Edmonton Oilers. This may sound dumb, but they're due for a win. They never fail to impress us with their offensive firepower year after year. Draisaitl and McDavid are a tandem that we deserve to see win a Stanley Cup in this lifetime. They do need a little bit of help in the net, but if they can get solid goaltending, then I really like their chances.

Lastly, for a long shot pick, I'm looking at the Dallas Stars for two reasons. Number one, Pete DeBoer is now their head coach. In DeBoer's three seasons coaching the Knights, the Knights had a winning record in all three of those seasons. And number two, Jake Oettinger really impressed me this postseason. He had a save percentage of 956 in their first round loss against the Flames. If they can use this offseason to boost their offense, then I really like their chances being a big sleeper. To recap my Stanley Cup picks, I like the Florida Panthers, the Edmonton Oilers, and the Dallas Stars as my long shot.
