Eleven-man football

Valley Central 28, at Monticello 0: John Wentink threw for three touchdowns and Jayden Oroco for one for visiting VC. Mekhi Joseph caught two scoring throws with Denzel St. John and Julian Montrevil adding one apiece. St. John had three interceptions.

Beacon 12, at Liberty 9

Newburgh 37, Kingston 0: At Rondout Valley, Newburgh extended its dominance in the age-old rivalry between two city schools along the Hudson. Tajir Walker rushed 12 times for 96 yards and two scores. Bruce Montgomery had eight carries for 43 yards and two touchdowns. Jashon Thomas caught a 27-yard TD pass. Mason Hoover completed five of eight throws for 122 yards. Matthew Patterson had six tackles, Fabian Rhoden five and Quency Monstime four.

Eleven-man football

Marlboro 31, Spackenkill 0: Miles Brooks passed for 200 yards, hitting on four scores, and added 60 yards rushing for host Marlboro. Antonio Hickman and Carter Rivieccio each caught two scoring passes. Ryan Durling rushed for 105 yards and made 11 tackles. Sal Montaperto hit a 40-yard field goal. Jack Drivas led with 13 tackles, Ryan Emig had 11, Kadofi Abbott eight and seven apiece for Antonio Hickman, Sam Garitta and Sean Robertson.

Port Jervis 61, New Paltz 0: Visiting Port (6-2) held New Paltz to 1 yard of total offense and won its fourth in a row. Anthony Theodore had three touchdowns (one receiving) to go with five carries for 101 yards, a catch for 43 and 96 punt return yards. Carroll Dolshun had four carries for 81 yards and two TDs. Dylan Fox rushed for two scores and threw for one. Elijah Campbell and Sydney Bhikarry each rushed for scores. Cole Mumford had nine tackles and Nick Burda six for New Paltz, which lost its fourth in a row and fell to 1-7

Burke Catholic 14, James I. O’Neill 0: The visiting Eagles (7-1) pitched their fifth shutout of the season. Liam Benzinger rushed for 124 yards and caught passes for 28. Liam Gralton rushed for 90 yards and a score, Rory Farrell had a score and Joe Cuebas and Farrell each had interceptions. Mike Benzinger had eight tackles and Joe Perrone added seven - each had a fumble recovery.

Washingtonville 57, Wallkill 25: Sean Davis had four rushing scores for visiting Washingtonville. For Wallkill, Chris Bartolone completed two scoring passes to Aidan Koziereski, while Michael Cullen and Kent Glasgow added rushing scores.

Warwick 7, Our Lady of Lourdes 6: Host Warwick prevailed. Lourdes had a fourth-quarter field goal attempt blocked.

Cornwall 57, Goshen 7: Tyler Vanderpool rushed for three sccores and Connor Cruz caught two TDs for visiting Cornwall. Dylan Versweyveld and Artie Nelbach had two receiving TDs and Ilunga Salerno rushed for one. Jaiden Laureano threw for three scores and Quinn Pikarsky one. Anthony Tucci and Daniel Twomey each had an interception. For Goshen, Jake Giordano hit Enzo Pupo on a 6-yard TD pass.

Saugerties 26, Dover 0: Carter Nelson, Shyree Laney, Andrew Mulford and Jonny Hernandez each had touchdowns for visiting Saugerties. Nelson had four carries for 50 yards and completed six of 12 throws for 120. Hernandez had 12 carries for 102 yards. Laney had five receptions for 120. Austin Razek (two sacks, fumble recovery), Julian Silinovic and Mulford all had five tackles.

Roosevelt d. Red Hook, forfeit

Chester 35, Highland 12: Andre Jenkins scored on runs of 42 and 3 yards for host Chester. James Musco scored on a 1-yard plunge and caught a 44-yard TD pass from Jenkins. James Kelm hit three PATs. For Highland, Connor Gemmell completed a 54-yard TD pass to Joshua Bishop and Janes Gescheide scored on a 14-yard run.

Eight-man football

Eldred 50, Onteora 30: Visiting Onteora secured its first playoff berth in 30 years and will host Pine Plains on Oct. 28. Onteora (2-2) got touchdowns from Reese Rotella (2), Griffin Alterio, Ethan Berryann and Cole Matteson. Rotella completed 14 of 31 throws for 184 yards and had six carries for 52. Berryann had 10 rushes for 66 and two receptions for 67. Matteson had 12 tackles and Alterio 10.

Ellenville 46, Tri-Valley 6: Jacob Wright rushed for over 200 yards, scoring on runs of 65, 60, 50 and 42 yards for host Ellenville (4-3), winners of four in a row. Dylan Nero scored on runs of 40 and 30 yards and Pedro Bonachea scored on a 60-yard fumble return.

at Pine Plains 26, Millbrook 14: Host Pine Plains clinches a playoff berth.

Anabelle Almeida had 26 assists, five kills and three digs, Ellie Hoppe had 14 kills and four blocks and Monica Ilioiu had 15 kills and six digs. For VC (6-9, 2-6), Abby Reiber had 15 assists and five digs, Jay Rodriguez 12 digs and six assists and Sarah Samuelson (three blocks) and Grace Severson (two digs) four kills apiece.

Section 9 Class C quarterfinal - Pine Plains 2, Ellenville 0: Michell Barron and Nala Soria scored for Pine Plains (5-6-2), which will play to-seeded Rondout Valley in a semifinal at Taconic Hills on Tuesday. Olivia Osfosky made five saves. For Ellenville (2-10-3), Jillian Schuab had five stops.

Eleven-man football

Minisink Valley 21, at Monroe-Woodbury 7: Josh Thibodeau scored two touchdowns and Robert Labarbera one (both players had 2-point conversions) as visiting Minisink won the non-league game. For MW, Dave Fennessy (9 rushes, 47 yards) completed 11 of 17 passes for 111 yards, finding Marcel Picard for a 10-yard TD pass in the second quarter. Nate Coulanges had 14 carries for 58 yards and three catches for 22. Marcel Picard had three receptions for 21 yards.

Middletown 34, Pine Bush 14: Host Middletown (6-1, 3-1 Class AA) seized a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. For Pine Bush (2-5), Triston Santos completed 10 of 15 throws for 199 yards. Jake Schorling had four catches for 45 yards and Logan Hawley two for 78. Emanuel Hannon had 11 carries for 58 yards and added a punt block. Plexico Brooks had eight carries for 63 yards.

Burke Catholic 4, S.S. Seward 0: Ryan Konarski scored twice and Aiden Trapp and Mason Atlas once apiece for host and OCIAA Div. 5 champion Burke (10-4).

Rondout Valley 3, Webutuck 1: Cole Stewart, Ethan Dean and Diego Castro scored for visiting Rondout (8-6-1, 2-6-1 MHAL). Sebastian Guerrero had one save. For Webutuck (2-9-1), Fristel Galicia scored and Jeffrey Ellis had nine stops.

Livingston Manor 2, Chapel Field 1: Athena Niforatos and Anastasia Niforatos each scored for visiting Manor (9-7, 4-0 OCIAA). Zaylee Cox made five stops. For Chapel Field, Grace Ndambuki scored and Layla Crane had 16 saves.

Field hockey

MHAL championship - Rondout Valley 3, Kingston 1: Rondout Valley (14-1-1) has won the MHAL championship match three years in a row. Lauren Schoonmaker scored in the final minute of the first quarter and tacked on the third goal in the second. Samantha Schneller produced the 2-0 lead. Sienna Sergio had one stop. FOr Kingston, Pepper Platte scored in the third quarter and Christina Schmidt had six stops. "This is great momentum at the right time of the season,'' said RV coach Nanette Simione. "We are looking forward to (sectionals) next week.''

Wallkill 3, Our Lady of Lourdes 1: Host Wallkill (13-0) prevailed 25-27, 25-10, 26-24, 25-18. Genevieve Pollock had 22 kills and 18 digs, Madison Stauss had 36 assists, 18 digs and two blocks, Araceli Ospina had 12 kills and two digs, Kaylee DeGroat had 13 digs and seven kills and Olivia Yankanin had four kills.

Highland 3, Rhinebeck 0: Visiting Highland prevailed 25-8, 25-16, 25-9. Cadence Meltz had 20 digs, Amelia Delforno had 10 assists, Christina Johnston six kills and Leah Klotz four assists and four digs. For Rhinebeck, Danielle Rocco had 10 digs and two kills, Charlotte Nathan had four digs, two kills and two assists, Madison Ranalli had seven assists, two kills and wo digs, Isabella Maiorino had six digs and Addison FOuntain had seven digs, two kills and two assists.

Rondout Valley 3, Ellenville 2: Host Rondout prevailed. Morgan Barcone had 22 kills and five digs, Erin Parete had 18 digs and four assists, Adreenah Mason had 20 assists, three kills and two digs and Jaiden Normann had six kills and two blocks.

Minisink Valley 3, Middletown 0: Host Minisink prevailed 25-4, 25-14, 25-6. Eva Fitzpatrick had nine kills, Isabella Messina had eight assists and two kills and Natalie Barina had five kills and three blocks.

Goshen 2, Warwick 2 (2 OT): James Unger and Simon Bastone scored and Dylan Gjersten had 13 saves for host Warwick. For Goshen, Vincent Mariglia and Aidan Diglio scored and Michael Gallo had seven stops.

Monticello 1, Port Jervis 0: Nathan Borko scored and Andrew Weiner had 11 saves for host Monticello.

Rondout Valley 5, Ellenville 0: Finn Kenney, Owen Shaffer Sermini, Elias Curan, Thomas Clark and Alex Accocella scored for host Rondout (7-6-1, 2-6-1 MHAL). For Ellenville (3-10-2), Alen Ibric and Yoksan Herrera Sanchez combined for six stops.

For Marlboro, Connor Baxter gave the Dukes a 1-0 lead and Alex McAteer had 10 stops. Lourdes faces Rhinebeck for MHAL title at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Wallkill.

Newburgh 1, Monroe-Woodbury 0 (OT): Yensel Granados converted a penalty kick for host Newburgh (7-6, 5-3 OCIAA). Isaac Ortega made five stops, as did Parker Giles for M-W (11-2-1, 6-2).

Fallsburg 1, O'Neill 1: Fallsburg (6-6, 1-0-1 OCIAA) clinched the OCIAA Div. IV title with the draw. Diego Bonilla scored off a pass from William Martinez. For O'Neill (5-6-2, 0-1-1), Max Jaffett scored and Lucas Haley made three stops.

Livingston Manor 9, Chapel Field 0: Rebecca Gashinsky scored four goals for host Manor (7-7, 3-3 OCIAA). Leah Ladenhauf and Jewel Wright each scored twice and Alexandra Potosek once. Zaylee Cox made seven stops. For Chapel Field, Layla Crane made five saves.

Kayley Huleatt and Isabella Wipf also scored. Corah Boller made seven stops. For Spackenkill (9-4), Bailey O'Gorman made 11 saves.

Pine Plains 3, Ellenville 1: Michelle Blackburn scored once and Tessa Blackburn twice for visiting Pine Plains (7-5). Elizabeth Heiter had 11 saves. For Ellenville (1-13, 1-11 MHAL), Sara Gonzalez scored on a penalty kick and SIenna Thomas made 13 stops.

Washingtonville 3, Chester 0: Host Washingtonville prevailed 25-16, 26-24, 25-21. Sophia Siruchek had 13 kills and eight digs, Mialani Moore 11 assists, Sami Greenbaum 17 digs and Mukisa Kemmelman eight kills. For Chester, Georgina Astras had 19 assists, Jazmine Watson seven kills, Lauren Higgins five and Kayleen Matos three.

Warwick 3, Seward 1: Visiting Warwick prevailed. For seward, Abigail Orlando had five kills, five assists and five digs and Mikaelah Schreibeis had four kills and two digs.

Roosevelt 3, New Paltz 0: Visiting Roosevelt prevailed 21-25, 26-28, 26-24, 28-26, 15-13. Sanaiya Whitted had 23 kills, 16 digs, four assists and three blocks, Marina Scott had 33 assists, 22 digs and five kills, Abbey Greenspan had 37 digs and Dafina Berisha had eight kills and two blocks. For New Paltz, Anabel Voorhis had 43 assists, Georgia Schutlz had 12 kills, Pepier Casey 11 and Gabby Lutz (six digs) had 10.
