UTEP women's basketball schedule includes seven non-conference home games
A three-game home stand to open the season and two tournaments in Florida highlight the UTEP women's basketball schedule, which was released Monday.
Keitha Adams' first schedule since her return as head coach has seven home games and two true road games in addition to two-game tournaments in St. Petersburg, Fla. and West Palm Beach, Fla.
The Miners open with Western New Mexico on Nov. 7, then host the University of Missouri-Kansas City on Nov. 11 in a return from UTEP's trip to Kansas City a year ago.
The St. Pete Showcase is Nov. 22 and 23 and includes games against two Texas schools, Lamar and TCU. UTEP's opponents in the West Palm Beach Classic, set for Dec. 20 and 21, have not been announced; that field traditionally includes power conference schools and ranked teams.
On Dec. 3 UTEP will travel to take on old Conference USA foe UTSA. The highlight of the home schedule is a Nov. 30 game against the Mountain West's Colorado State.
