It’s been a brutal five days for Utah.

The Utes lost a pivotal Pac-12 South matchup to Arizona State on Saturday and quarterback Tyler Huntley suffered a fractured collarbone. The injury will keep Huntley out for the rest of the regular season.

Now, according to the Salt Lake Tribune, running back Zack Moss is likely out for the season after suffering a knee injury in practice Wednesday. Utah did not comment to the Tribune about Moss’ injury, but the running back posted the following to Twitter on Thursday night.

Moss and Huntley make up most of Utah’s offensive production. Moss has 179 carries for 1,092 yards and 11 touchdowns while Huntley is the team’s second-leading rusher with 304 yards and four scores. Huntley is also 150-of-234 passing for 1,788 yards passing and 12 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Armand Shyne, who will take over for Moss, has 166 yards on 37 carries. Backup quarterback Jason Shelley, now the team’s starter, has thrown just 14 passes on the season. He’s completed six for 99 yards and an interception.

Had Utah beaten Arizona State on Saturday the Utes would have held a game lead over Arizona and USC for the Pac-12 South lead. With the loss, the Utes are now tied with those two schools and the Sun Devils in the loss column. With Colorado and UCLA at 2-4 in the conference, the entire division is now within a game of each other.

Utah plays Oregon on Saturday and then ends Pac-12 play with Colorado before ending the season against BYU. At 6-3, Utah has already secured bowl eligibility.
