USI men's and women's basketball learn 2023-24 Ohio Valley Conference schedules
EVANSVILLE — The University of Southern Indiana men’s and women’s basketball teams know their Ohio Valley Conference schedules
The OVC announced its slate of games for the 2023-24 season Monday, and each of the 11 member institutions knows their path to the league championships at Ford Center on March 9. The Screaming Eagles will open with Southeast Missouri State, the same lead OVC foe as last season, on Dec. 28 in Cape Girardeau. The Eagles’ first home games are against Tennessee State on Jan. 4.
Remember, the OVC plays doubleheaders during conference play, with the women’s teams playing directly before the men’s teams. USI's men and women finished seventh and ninth place in the OVC last season, respectively.
The Eagles' longest home stretch is three games from Jan. 18-25 against Little Rock, Morehead State and OVC newcomer Western Illinois. USI's longest road trip is a four-game stand from Feb. 15-24 at Tennessee-Martin, Little Rock, Morehead State and Western Illinois.
Each OVC member will face one team once and all others twice. This means the Eagles will not make the trip to Charleston, Illinois, to face Eastern Illinois. Each team has nine home and away games each.
The OVC Tournament is March 6-9 at Ford Center in Downtown Evansville.
