Updated Oregon Ducks 2024 scholarship distribution chart
We are in the offseason in college football, which means it’s time for fans and media members to pore over scholarship charts and try to figure out where the team needs to add or subtract players at key positions going forward.
College teams are allowed 85 scholarships at the start of the season. At the moment, the Ducks have 89.
For the Oregon Ducks, the roster is looking a bit inflated at the moment, but that is certainly going to change over the coming weeks. We’ve seen a few players jump in the transfer portal or declare of the 2024 NFL draft, but there are many more that will undoubtedly make themselves known in due time. Meanwhile, the Ducks will add several more players via the transfer portal.
As the offseason rolls along, we will continue to keep this scholarship distribution chart up to date. Here’s where the program stands right now:

Notes: There is a decent chance that Oregon will add another QB to the room. The leading candidate is sophomore Dante Moore, a transfer from UCLA.

Offseason Departures
Dante Dowdell
Note: Bucky Irving became the first RB to leave the Ducks this offseason, announcing on Monday that he would be declaring for the NFL draft. There aren’t expected to be any other departures.
Freshman RB Dante Dowdell also announced that he would be heading to the transfer portal after one season in Eugene.
Wide Receiver
Position | Senior | Junior | Sophomore | Freshman |
WR (10) |

Offseason Departures
Kris Hutson
Josh Delgado
Ashton Cozart
Notes: The Ducks lost a handful of receivers to the transfer portal and the NFL, but they restocked the cupboard a bit with two flips on signing day. The Ducks are also expected to bring in a WR or two via the transfer portal this offseason.
Tight End

TE (6) |

Offseason Departures
None
Notes: At the moment, there have not been any departures for the Ducks at the tight end position this offseason. That could changed based on what Terrance Ferguson decides, and whether he wants to test the NFL draft waters. But at the moment, the Ducks feel pretty set at the TE position.

Jackson Powers-Johnson
Notes: Jackson Powers-Johnson announced on Monday that he would declare for the 2024 NFL draft, becoming the third lineman this year to leave the Ducks. Going forward, we will see what Ajani Cornelius decides to do. He could also make the leap to the NFL.

Offseason Departures
Casey Rogers
Taki Taimani
Popo Aumavae
Notes: The Ducks are losing a number of their most productive defensive linemen this offseason, but they built significant depth over the last two years and could benefit from a potential transfer from Walter Nolen, the No. 1 rated player in the transfer portal.

Offseason Departures
Mase Funa
Notes: There is a chance Jordan Burch will leave Eugene for the NFL this offseason, but growing buzz indicates he is more likely to return for another year with the Ducks. Behind him, Oregon is stacked with young talent that has proven itself over the past 13 games.
Linebacker
Position | Senior | Junior | Sophomore | Freshman |
LB (8) |

Offseason Departures
Notes: It could be an interesting offseason for the Ducks at the LB position, where both Jeffrey Bassa and Jestin Jacobs are deciding on whether or not to return for another year. I’m told that Jacobs is likely going to return, while Bassa is weighing a departure a little bit more. The Ducks have a handful of very talented LBs coming in as part of the 2024 class, but if Bassa or Jacobs leave, they will likely need to add a veteran piece via the transfer portal.

CB (10) |

Offseason Departures
Trikweze Bridges
Notes: The Ducks lost their No. 1 CB once again as Khyree Jackson heads to the NFL, but they have a lot of talent on the roster, both young and old, and should be pretty strong going into 2024. There’s a chance that they add a CB via the portal if the right one arises, but it’s not a major priority.

Offseason Departures
Evan Williams

Bryan Addison
Daymon David
Notes: The safety is position is likely where the Ducks need the most help going forward. They have a handful of guys at the position, but really only one player with a lot of experience in Tysheem Johnson. Oregon will almost certainly leave the transfer portal cycle with an additional player in this position.

Offseason Departures
Camden Lewis
Notes: Knowing which special teams players are on scholarship or not is sometimes difficult. It may look like the Ducks don’t have a lot of help in this area, but Ross James was one of the best punters in the nation this past season, and he was a walk-on. The Ducks also will lose Camden Lewis this year, but can replace him with freshman Grant Meadors.
