Updated basketball standings: Can Byron stay unbeaten overall and Guilford in NIC-10?

Byron hasn't finished higher than third in the Big Northern boys basketball standings in the last decade. Now the No. 4-ranked Class 2A Tigers are closing in on an unbeaten regular season. Guilford is getting close to its first undefeated conference season in school history. Hononegah and Byron in girls basketball have both gone unbeaten in their leagues often — and are threatening to do so again. Here are all of the current Rockford-area boys and girls basketball conference standings, as of Monday, Jan. 29, 2024:
