Here are the 1st round matchups for the Ohio high school football playoffs

The high school football regular season in Ohio is officially in the books.

Five Cincinnati-area teams finished the regular season with perfect records. Three of those teams are the top seed in their division for the upcoming regional playoffs.

From the Ohio High School Athletic Association, with an assist from Joe Eitel, here are the official first-round playoff matchups. Seeds one through eight will host games on Oct. 27 and the four remaining highest seeds will host on Nov. 3.

Division I, Region 4

There are two intra-conference rematches in DI, both in the Greater Miami Conference. Princeton beat Middletown 41-15 on Oct. 5 as part of the Vikings' first undefeated regular season in 32 years. Expect more fireworks when Hamilton hosts Sycamore. The Big Blue beat the Aviators in Week 9 on a kickoff return with three seconds left.

There might also be several intra-conference matchups in the second round as Milford could face Lebanon, Princeton could face Hamilton/Lakota West could face Hamilton, and St. Xavier could face Moeller.

Division II, Region 8

Anderson and Turpin will face off for the second time in three weeks. The Raptors won the Week 9 contest at Turpin. Can they defend their home field as the top seed in DII?

Loveland and Kings is the other local rematch in this region. The Tigers beat the Knights 31-20 on Sept. 8 but are on a two-game losing streak entering the playoffs. Kings has lost three of its last four games. Who can right the ship in Week 11?

The Southern Buckeye Conference leads the way in DIII with four teams in the field, but only Wilmington will host a playoff game.

Mount Healthy may be the seven seed, but they have enough talent to win the region. Watch out for the Owls.

Division IV, Region 16

Clinton-Massie could be headed for its second regional title in three years as the top seed in DIV. Taft has won six of seven games entering the postseason.

Indian Hill, which is on a seven-game winning streak and captured its first Cincinnati Hills League title since 2015, will face league foe Reading, whom the Braves beat 37-6 on Sept. 29.

Division V, Region 20

Purcell Marian and Madeira are set for a rematch from Week 3. The Mustangs won that battle in overtime, 41-35.

Bethel-Tate beat Blanchester 54-33 on Oct. 6. That game was at Blanchester; the Week 11 battle will be at Bethel-Tate.

Williamsburg shut out Clermont Northeastern to lock up the top seed in DVI. Cincinnati Country Day became the fifth Cincinnati-area team to finish the regular season undefeated.

Cincinnati College Prep will host New Bremen looking for its second postseason win in three years.

Despite a loss to end the regular season, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place finished the regular season with an 8-2 record and now has a 14-6 record in the last two regular seasons.
