UNC recruiting target trending toward Louisville

The recruitment for five-star small forward Trentyn Flowers will end on Friday when he plans to commit to a program.

The Combine Academy standout from Charlotte has 31 offers in his recruitment but narrowed his list to Louisville, UNC, Alabama, Arkansas, Creighton and Kansas. As he’s set to make his decision, one team appears to be trending for him.

Per the 247Sports crystal ball, the Louisville Cardinals hold the lead going into decision day and many believe it will be his choice Friday afternoon. The Cardinals are in a position to land the talented forward after landing transfer guard Skyy Clark out of Illinois on Thursday.

For North Carolina, while it is a finalist for Flowers it appears to have cooled off in this recruitment.

UNC has a four-man class already for the 2024 class and when it picked up a few commitments in January, it pretty much ended the pursuit of the forward.

The Tar Heels are still pursuing five-star Jarin Stevenson as the final piece to the 2024 class, however.
