UFC: Nottigham Scores Jason “Shotgun” Young vs. Robert Peralta

The British invasion continues…

Shortly after announcing Dan Hardy vs. Amir Sadollah for UFC on Fuel TV 5 at Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England, UFC officials notified MMAWeekly.com that Jason Young and Robert Peralta have verbally agreed to fight on the Sept. 29 card.

Following a rough two-fight skid to start his career in the Octagon, Young (9-5) finally got in the win column with a victory over Eric Wisely at UFC on Fuel TV 2 in Sweden.

This being Young’s fourth bout in the UFC, it will be the second time he’s fought on his home turf in the Octagon. He lost to Michihiro Omigawa at UFC 138 last November.

He’ll be trying to keep his winning ways going against Peralta (15-3).

Peralta won his Octagon debut against Mike Lullo and then appeared to have beaten Mackens Semerzier in his sophomore effort. Peralta’s victory over Semerzier was later turned to a no contest when the California State Athletic Commission reviewed the fight and determined that an accidental headbutt lead to Peralta’s fight-finishing TKO flurry.

Stefan Struve vs. Stipe Miocic headlines the UFC on Fuel TV 5 fight card on Sept. 29 at Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England.
