UFC 289: How to watch Nunes vs. Aldana, start time, fight card, odds
The UFC returns to pay-per-view Saturday with UFC 289 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a title fight atop the card.
Here’s how to watch UFC 289, where the women’s bantamweight championship is up for grabs.
Broadcast and streaming info
UFC 289 has a main card that begins at 10 p.m. ET and streams on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Early prelims on ESPN+ are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
Main event
The UFC 289 main event features the return of Amanda Nunes, the woman widely considered to be the greatest female fighter of all time. Nunes (22-5 MMA, 15-2 UFC), 35, who also holds the women’s featherweight title, is kicking off her second reign as bantamweight champion after reclaiming the belt with a lopsided unanimous decision win over Julianna Peña in their rematch. Saturday was set to host the trilogy, but Peña was forced to withdraw several weeks ago. Instead, Irene Aldana (14-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) is getting the first UFC title shot of her career. The 35-year-old Mexican fighter has won four of her past five fights, including most recently back-to-back victories over Yana Santos (first-round TKO) and Macy Chiasson (third-round knockout).
