UFC 274 weigh-in video: Rose Namajunas, Carla Esparza official for title rematch

PHOENIX – A hugely important championship rematch is official after Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza made weight for the UFC 274 co-main event.

Namajunas (11-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC), the UFC’s reigning strawweight champion, will run it back with former champion Esparza (18-6 MMA, 9-4 UFC) after both hit the divisional limit at Friday’s official UFC 274 weigh-ins.

There were no issues on the scale for either fighter. The champion Namajunas registered as 115 pounds, while the challenger Esparza left no chances with the title-fight limit, coming in at 115 pounds.

Esparza won the initial meeting between the pair in December 2014. It was the inaugural strawweight title fight for the promotion, and Namajunas succumbed to a third-round submission loss, which she’ll now try to avenge.

UFC 274 takes place Saturday at Footprint Center. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
