UConn's Paige Bueckers says she's cleared more than a year after her ACL injury

Nov 14, 2021; Hartford, Connecticut, USA; UConn Huskies guard Paige Bueckers (5) returns up court against the Arkansas Razorbacks in the second half at XL Center.

UConn star Paige Bueckers announced that she is cleared after suffering an ACL injury last summer.

Bueckers took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce her impending return, writing "all cleared and ready for takeoff. 369 days ... GOD DID!"

The 21-year-old missed the entire 2022-23 season with her knee injury during a pick-up basketball game just months after helping the Huskies make it to the National Championship game, where they fell to South Carolina

Bueckers averaged 14.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game during the 2021-22 season for the Huskies during what was her sophomore season, playing 17 games while missing time due to another left knee injury that necessitated surgery in December.

The Huskies, who made it to the Sweet 16 in the 2023 tournament before falling to Ohio State, will welcome a healthy Bueckers after Lou Lopez Senechal and Dorka Juhasz were selected in this April's WNBA Draft.
