Twins reinstate Byron Buxton from paternity list
The Twins on Thursday reinstated designated hitter Byron Buxton from the paternity list. To make room, the team optioned outfielder Trevor Larnach back to Class AAA St. Paul.
Buxton missed the past three games to be with his wife, Lindsey, as the couple had their third child, Baire, on Monday morning in Minneapolis. Buxton has played in 81 games this season, hitting .195 with 12 doubles, one triple, 17 home runs, 40 RBIs, 46 runs scored and a .702 OPS.
The Twins begin a six-game road trip on Friday in Kansas City.
Larnach played in three games during his most recent stint with the Twins, going 3 for 10 with a double, triple, an RBI and two runs scored.
