Mizzou football will close its home slate for the 2023 season Saturday evening against Florida at Memorial Stadium in Columbia.

Missouri (8-2, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) was handed the No. 9 spot in the latest College Football Playoff committee’s rankings. The Tigers appear to be two wins away from securing a New Year’s Six Bowl berth. They are two wins away from their first 10-win regular season since 2014.

Florida (5-5, 3-4) meanwhile, is fighting for a postseason at all. The Gators need to defeat either Missouri on Saturday or Florida State, the No. 4 team in the CFP rankings, in the final week of the regular season to become bowl eligible.

Florida lost 52-35 last Saturday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to LSU behind a historic night from quarterback Jayden Daniels.
