Tuesday's Top Prep Performers from CIF-SS playoffs in four sports and golf league finals

Highlights from Tuesday in high school sports:

SOFTBALL

  • Kaitlyn Bartlow allowed four hits while striking out over six innings and Reagan Beck, Kaylee Clarkson and Mia Morera each went 1 for 3 for Westlake (18-9-1) in its 2-0 loss to host Huntington Beach in a CIF-SS Division 1 wild-card game.

  • Angelina Apodaca went 3 for 4 with a run scored and Justice Flores was 2 for 4 with an RBI as Camarillo lost to host Mission Viejo 7-1 in a CIF-SS Division 1 wild-card game. The Scorpions played without injured ace Ainsley Berlingeri.

  • Jennifer Garcia went 2 for 3 with a two-run home run, a double and five RBIs and allowed one run in four innings in the circle, Audrina Tinoco finished 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Leea Martinez was 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Sydney Hornbuckle went 2 for 2 with an RBI to lead St. Bonaventure to a 12-2 victory over Southland Christian in a CIF-SS Division 5 wild-card game. The Seraphs will play at Duarte in a first-round game Thursday.

  • Rosy Salazar allowed two runs while striking out eight in a complete-game effort, Madison Wall went 4 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs, Taylor Smith finished 4 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Grace Maguire was 2 for 2 with an RBI, and Marina Markrud had a hit and two RBIs to lead Grace Brethren to a 9-2 win over host Alverno Heights in a CIF-SS Division 5 wild-card game. The Lancers will play at Santa Paula in a first-round game Thursday.

  • Amber Sage hit a solo home run, Maggie Caputo had a double and an RBI, Abby Moore had a hit and an RBI, and Jacaranda Shepard went 2 for 3 for Nordhoff in its 4-3 loss to host Sierra Vista in a CIF-SS Division 6 wild-card game.

BASEBALL

  • Mathew Magana pitched four hitless innings with four strikeouts, Jathan Magana allowed one hit while striking out six in three scoreless innings, Ivan Becerra went 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Anthony Chessani had a triple and an RBI to lead Fillmore to a 6-0 victory over visiting St. Monica Academy in a Division 7 wild-card game. The Flashes play at Gladstone on Wednesday in a second wild-card game.

  • Thacher defeated visiting Shalhevet 13-1 in a Division 7 wild-card game. The Toads will play Leuzinger at Hawthorne High in a first-round game Thursday.

BOYS GOLF

  • Teddy Vigna of Dos Pueblos fired a 4-under-par 68 on the second day of the Channel League tournament at Soule Park Golf Course and finished with a two-round total of 11-under 133 to win the league individual championship. Adam Anderson of Buena shot a 73 for an 8-under 136 and Shams Jahangir-Arshad of San Marcos had a 68 for a 136 as the two tied for second place. Leo Metzger of San Marcos shot a 72 for a 137 to place fourth. Brady McHenry of Buena shot a 69 for a 142 to finish fifth. Jeffrey Forster of San Marcos had a 72 for a 143 to take sixth. Thomas MacIntosh of Santa Barbara shot a 67 for a 148 to finish seventh. Scott Nightingale of Dos Pueblos won a playoff for eighth. All eight players qualified for the CIF-SS Northern Regional Individuals, to be played May 10 at Los Robles Greens Golf Course.

  • Nick Waldock shot an even-par 71 and Jared Abercrombie and Graham Christopher each had a 76 as Oaks Christian finished with a team total of 383 to take first place in the sixth and final Marmonte League tournament at North Ranch Country Club. The Lions won all six tournaments to clinch the league championship and qualify for the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs. Cooper Greenwood was the medalist with a 2-under 69 and Ryan Arnold shot a 73 as Agoura had a team score of 395 to finish second in the tournament and second overall in league to qualify for the CIF-SS playoffs. Evan Jiang shot a 74 and Matt Fisher for Thousand Oaks, which finished third in the tournament with a 409 and third overall in league. Connor Shackleford shot a 82 and Christian Shackleford and Christian Payne each had an 83 for Newbury Park, which finished fifth in the tournament with a 421 and fourth overall in league. Westlake finished fourth in the tournament with a 403 and fifth overall in league. Calabasas finished sixth in the tournament with a 447 and sixth overall in league.

GIRLS BEACH VOLLEYBALL

  • Oaks Christian defeated host Long Beach Poly 3-2 to advance to the CIF-SS Division 2 semifinals in the first year of girls beach volleyball playoffs. The Lions will play either Windward or Crean Lutheran at Long Beach City College on Saturday. The championship match will follow on the same day.

BOYS TENNIS

  • Ventura defeated visiting Saugus 10-8 in a CIF-SS Division 3 wild-card match. The Cougars play at top-seeded Cypress in a first-round match Wednesday.

  • Thacher defeated Santa Barbara 13-5 in a CIF-SS Division 4 wild-card match. The Toads play at Bishop Montgomery in a first-round match Wednesday.

  • Villanova Prep rolled to a 17-1 win over host Paramount in a CIF-SS Division 5 wild-card match. The Wildcats play at Garey in a first-round match Wednesday.
