Here are Tuesday's high school sports results for the Wausau, Stevens Point, Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids area

SOFTBALL

Division 4

Auburndale 15, Necedah 1

AUBURNDALE - After briefly trailing 1-0, the Eagles responded with seven runs in the first, one in the second, two in the third and five in the fourth to earn the regional semifinal victory.

Samantha Stanton picked up the win, pitching three innings, allowing one run, while striking out three. Ashlyn Grimm went two innings, walking one and striking out five.

Leading the Auburndale offense were Erin Griesbach, who was 3-for-4 with three RBIs; Grimm, who doubled and drove in two runs; Samantha Stanton, who was 2-for-2 with two RBIs; Danika Blomberg, who was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs; Regynn Lau, who was 2-for-3 with two runs scored; Taylor Anderson, who was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs; Kimmie Lundgren, who was 2-for-3 with two RBIs; and Hope Schulte, who scored two runs.

With the win, Auburndale moves to 14-4 overall.

Edgar 10, Marathon 0

EDGAR - The Wildcats scored one in the first, four in the second, one in the fourth and four in the fifth to earn the regional win.

Makayla Wirkus was 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored. Adding two hits each for Edgar were Maycie Yonker, Morgan Streveler, Leah Davis, Emery Borchardt and Taylor Lemmer. One of Lemmer’s hits was a triple.

Division 5

Almond-Bancroft 10, Tri County 0

ALMOND - Riya Ceballos threw a no-hitter and drove in three runs, including hitting a two-run homer, to lead the Eagles to the regional semifinal win. Ceballos walked one and struck out five in the circle.

Kerstyn Clark added two hits for Almond-Bancroft. The Eagles also benefited from seven walks to go along with nine hits.

Athens 14, Elmwood/Plum City 0

ATHENS - The Bluejays scored two in the first, four in the second, one in the third and seven in the fourth to earn the regional semifinal win.

Danica Diethelm allowed just one hit in four innings, while striking out seven to earn the win in the circle. Paige Westaby pitched the fifth, striking out one.

Jenna Handschke led the offense, going 3-for-3 with a double and one RBI, while Addison Lavicka was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Also powering Athens were Jazelle Hartwig and Celina Ellenbecker, who both were 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

BASEBALL

Stevens Point 5, Wausau East 3

WAUSAU - Ben Fonti went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored and Benett Klish also doubled for the Panthers.

Josh Opiola earned the win (9-0) after 6 2/3 innings, allowing seven hits, a walk and three runs with five strikeouts. Jackson Fox picked up the save by getting the final out of the game.

SPASH is now 21-1 overall and 10-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Medford 7, Pittsville 2

MEDFORD - Braxton Weissmiller was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Tanner Hraby homered and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Red Raiders past the Panthers.

Medford jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one and tacked on single runs in the third and fifth innings before both teams scored twice in the sixth.

Parker Lissner and Logan Baumgartner added two hits each for the Red Raiders.

Evan Haley, Dawson Luther and Logan Zickert had two hits each for Pittsville.

Columbus Catholic 15, Owen-Withee 11

OWEN - The Dons scored in every inning but two, but had to hold off a late Blackhawks rally.

Columbus led 2-1 after one inning before building that to 7-1 after two, 8-1 after three and 12-1 in the fifth. Owen-Withee kept the game alive with two runs in the bottom of the frame. After a three-run sixth by the Dons, the Blackhawks responded with eight of their own.

Emmitt Konieczny led the Dons, going 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored. Grant Olson was 2-for-3 with a double and five RBIs, while Blake Jakobi, Cy Becker, Mac Konieczny and Drew Lang added two hits each.

Elliot Ackerman was 2-for-2 with two RBIs to lead Owen-Withee.

GIRLS SOCCER

Stevens Point 6, Wausau East 0

WAUSAU - Amelia Castleberg scored four goals and had an assist for the Panthers in the win.

Camille Schoenberg and Anna Barden also scored for SPASH.

Panthers goalie Alexis Torhorst made two saves.

Medford 3, Northland Pines 2

EAGLE RIVER - The Eagles and Raiders alternated goals, two apiece, until Sierra Tessmann buried the winning goal in the 66th minute for Medford.

Grace Plank got the scoring started in the fourth minute for Northland Pines.

Megan Schaefer evened the match in the 19th minute for the Raiders.

Plank netted her second goal in the 53rd minute to give the Eagles the advantage once more. Elizabeth Chicks assisted one of Plank’s goals.

Mallory Richter scored on an assist by Kierstyn Halopka in the 65th minute to tie things at two.

Pines had 14 shots on goal with Medford recording three saves.

Medford also had 14 shots on goal with Pines recording five saves.
