BASEBALL

Oostburg 4, Mishicot 3

OOSTBURG - The Flying Dutchmen plated two runs in the first and fifth innings and made them stand for the Big East Conference win.

Mishicot made things interesting with a run in the fifth and two in the seventh.

Caleb Salm picked up the win, pitching six innings, allowing three runs - two earned - on five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. Levi Mills finished up, walking two and striking out two.

Kaden Kowalski was 2-for-3 with a run scored to lead Mishicot.

Ethan Gnadt took the loss, allowing just six hits, four runs - none earned - with one walk and six strikeouts.

Cedar Grove-Belgium 5, St. Mary Catholic 4

CEDAR GROVE - The Rockets scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to hand the Zephyrs just their second loss of the year.

Cedar Grove-Belgium opened the scoring with a four-run fourth, but St. Mary Catholic answered with four runs of its own in the fifth.

Jacob Norris was 2-for-3, while Carter Schmitz drove in a pair of runs.

Jude Ackeret picked up the win in relief, going six innings, allowing one hit, one unearned run and one walk, while striking out 13.

Aidan Birling led the Zephyrs with three hits.

Matt Betchner and Colin Nigl combined to pitch 9⅓ innings, allowing five runs - one earned - while walking four and striking out 14.

SOFTBALL

Mishicot 14, Oostburg 0

OOSTBURG - Mishicot banged out 16 hits and took advantage of seven errors in rolling to the Big East Conference win.

On the mound, Cora Stodola was dominant, pitching all five innings, allowing just one walk, while striking out 11. At the plate, she homered and drove in two runs.

Katelyn Callahan led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a double, a homer and four RBIs. Kaelin Adair and Kiran Sanford added three hits each, while Kasey Brouchoud had two doubles.

Kiel 6, Roncalli 4

KIEL - In the first inning, Emma Adleman hit a three-run home run for the Raiders after Addi Karls collected an RBI single to score Paige Wilkens, who reached on a leadoff walk.

In the top of the third inning, Roncalli tallied three runs - including RBIs from Ellie Jagemann and Gretchen Kapic, and an RBI groundout by Madison Keller - to tie things up at four.

Kiel took the lead for good, however, with two runs in the fourth inning. Adleman knocked in an RBI single on an 0-1 count and Emily Klotz singled on the first pitch of her at-bat, driving in another run for the Raiders.

Emily Endries doubled and scored two runs and Chloe Meyer had a hit and stole a base for Kiel.

The Jets tallied eight hits on the day, led by Jagemann and Kapic with two apiece.

Liz Neils led the Raiders to victory in the circle. She surrendered four runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out six.

Kapic took the loss for the Jets. The right-hander allowed seven hits and six runs over six innings, with one strikeout.

Plymouth 13, Ripon 3

RIPON - Madelyn Weber earned the win with four shutout innings of relief as the Panthers topped the Tigers in six innings.

At the plate, Caia Lund was 4-for-4 with two home runs and six RBIs.

Plymouth is now 10-6 on the season.

St. Mary Catholic 22, Cedar Grove-Belgium 0

CEDAR GROVE - The Zephyrs scored a dozen runs in the first inning and five runs in both the second and third innings on their way to a shutout.

The first nine hitters for SMC reached base and they collected nine hits and four walks to open the game. Nevaeh Saringer and Emily Vogel hit back-to-back home runs for the Zephyrs. Saringer belted a three-run shot and Vogel a solo homer. Saringer and Allie Strande each recorded two hits in the inning with four and three RBIs, respectively.

Five Rockets errors in the second inning led to an RBI double by Sammi Weiss, an RBI single by Vogel and a two-run double by Saringer.

In the third inning, after two were out and the bases empty, SMC manufactured five runs on seven hits and a walk. Vogel drove in two more with a double.

Saringer and Vogel both finished 3-for-3 with a triple each short of the cycle. Saringer scored twice and drove in six runs and Vogel scored three times and drove in four.

Adel Schneider went 2-for-3 with three runs, Allie Strande was 2-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and three driven in, Chloe Vogel scored four times, Addison Moder and Teagan Miller both went 2-for-4 with an RBI each, and Weiss went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and runs scored.

Maya Claerbaut went 1-for-2 with the lone hit for Cedar Grove-Belgium.

Weiss earned her first varsity win for the Zephyrs, giving up a walk and a hit with six strikeouts over three innings.

Katelyn Morris took the loss for the Rockets, surrendering 19 hits, five walks, and 22 runs (17 earned) while striking out three.

SMC improves to 7-1 in conference and 8-5 overall.

GIRLS SOCCER

Sheboygan North 2, Notre Dame 2

GREEN BAY - Both teams scored a goal in each half in the FRCC draw.

Libby Cleveland and Abby Reinl scored goals for Sheboygan North.

Golden Raiders goalie Peyton Baker made eight saves.

Kiel 8, Wrightstown 0

WRIGHTSTOWN - Taavi Saeger scored three goals and Taylor Schad added two goals and an assist to power the Raiders to the nonconference win.

Also scoring goals for Kiel were Sage August, Aubrey Arnold and Lydia Vander Meer. Arnold added two assists, while Vander Meer and Abby Moore added one each.

Wrightstown goalkeeper Ava Krueger made seven saves, while Kiel’s Kyleigh Kroll was not tested.

Cedar Grove-Belgium 6, Random Lake 0

CEDAR GROVE - Cora Erickson scored four goals for the Rockets in the victory.

Aubrey Marti and Grace Konzak also scored for Cedar Grove-Belgium. Konzak also had three assists.

Rockets goalies Aubrey Johnson and Payton Dodson each had one save.

Oostburg 1, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 0

ELKHART LAKE - Breleigh Navis scored for Oostburg in the victory.

Oostburg goalie Ingrid Steinbock made six saves in goal.

Kaitlyn Kesler had two saves for the Resorters.

In the girls meet, Berlin won the 200 (Autumn Young, :28.20), the 100 hurdles (Katlyn Johnson, :19.13), the 300 hurdles (Aaliyah Mosman, :54.55), the 400 relay (:56.20) the 800 relay (2:00.31), the shot put (Alivia Davey, 31-7), the high jump (Kaytlyn Johnson, 4-8), the long jump (Alex Budde, 14-10) and the triple jump (Alex Budde, 31-10.5).

Plymouth’s first-place finishes were in the 100 (Ella Ahlstrand, :12.68), the 400 (Claire Poppe, 1:06.22), the 800 (Laura Henze, 2:42.92), the 1,600 (Laura Henze, 6:11.39), the 3,200 relay (12:15.98) and the discus (Kaelei Olig, 96-11).

Ripon got first-place finishes in the 3,200 (Libby Gatzke, 13:12.73), the 1,600 relay (4:43.41) and the pole vault (Anya Duffy, 8-6).

In the boys meet, Plymouth got first-place finishes in the 400 (Andru Miller, :55.78), the 3,200 (Kade Burdick, 11:35.54), the 400 relay (:48.47), the 1,600 relay (3:45.08), the 3,200 relay (9:35.38) and the discus (Oliver Sheets, 129-5).

Berlin got first-place finishes from Devin Derleth (100, :11.37; 200, :22.85; long jump, 22-1; triple jump, 43-0.5) and Mason Smoody (110 hurdles, :17.91).

Ripon’s Aidan Ruedinger won the 800 (2:27.14) while Vincente Beltran won the 1,600 (5:18.73). Jack Schoelzel won the 300 hurdles (:47.66). Ripon won the 800 relay (1:42.95). Noah Hanson took first in the shot put (43-6). Logan Pollesch won the high jump (5-2). Brandyn Beahm won the pole vault (12-0).
