Top Salem-area girls and boys golfers to watch in OSAA state championships

The OSAA girls and boys golf state championships are set to begin next week and will be held at various sites around the state on Monday and Tuesday.

A handful of local teams and individuals could be in contention for titles or podium finishes. Emily Keel (Sprague), Elijah Clendening (McNary), and Kyler Hemelstrand (Cascade) are among the golfers who notched top-15 finishes at their respective state tournaments last spring and will aim to do so again this year.

Here's a look at which local teams and individuals are slated to compete at the OSAA golf state championships.
