Todd McShay: Bryce Young is a smaller version of Patrick Mahomes

Recently on ESPN’s Sportscenter, NFL draft analyst Todd McShay was brought on as a guest to discuss the 2023 draft and the talented class of quarterbacks that are expected to be selected early in the first round.

McShay was asked about why Alabama’s Bryce Young makes sense to not only be the first quarterback drafted but be the first overall pick in the draft.

His response was simple: he’s just “different” when compared to others like Ohio State‘s C.J. Stroud and Kentucky’s Will Levis.

While discussing his positive attributes, he made sure to discuss the worries most pundits have expressed, which are his height and weight.

Overall size doesn’t concern McShay all too much, however, as he compares Young to a smaller version of Patrick Mahomes, who just won his second Super Bowl.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Alabama football and former players who are preparing for the 2023 NFL draft.
