Titans have no new positive COVID-19 cases on Saturday, plan to reopen facility
For the second straight day, the Tennessee Titans have no new positive COVID-19 cases on Saturday after Friday’s round of testing, per multiple reports. As a result, the team now plans on reopening its facility later in the day.
This keeps the Titans on track to playing their Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills at Nissan Stadium on Tuesday, but they’ll have to continue producing all negative test results from now until then.
The Titans will return to their facility for the first time since September 29, when three players tested positive for the virus, leading to the facility being shut down in the first place.
Of course, one player (Greg Mabin, September 24) and one personnel member (OLB coach Shane Bowen, September 26) had tested positive for the virus prior to that date.
If the Titans do indeed get back into their facility on Saturday afternoon, that will allow them to get in at least one, or quite possibly two practices ahead of Tuesday’s game.
