Titans’ Derrick Henry wins AFC Offensive Player of the Month

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has won the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October.

Henry totaled 344 rushing yards, including 212 in the Week 6 win against the Houston Texans, 55 receiving yards, and five touchdowns in three games. The Titans went 2-1 overall during the month.

This is the second time Henry has won the award during his career, with the last time coming back in December of 2018, and he’s the first Titans running back to win it twice.

After six games, Henry is on his way to another rushing crown. His 663 yards are tops in the NFL, and he has over 100 more yards than the next closest back, the Kansas City ChiefsClyde Edwards-Helaire (551).

The last running back to win back-to-back rushing crowns was LaDainian Tomlinson, who did it as a member of the San Diego Chargers back in 2006 and 2007.

Henry and the Titans will look to improve their 5-1 record on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.
