Tiger Woods, Tom Brady head field at Monday's star-studded Seminole pro-member in Juno Beach

Palm Beach County is the site of one of golf's most star-studded fields annually and it has nothing to do with a PGA Tour event.

The prestigious Seminole pro-member at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach is held the Monday after the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches.

The event draws the top players in the world, including several locals. This year's field is headed by Tiger Woods, who will play for the first time since withdrawing from the second round of the Genesis Invitational just more than two weeks ago after becoming ill.

Woods has said he wants to play one Tour event a month. The expectation is he will be returning for the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in two weeks, although Woods has not made that announcement.

Other notable Tour pros playing at Seminole Monday include locals Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler, Cameron Young, Denny McCarthy, Lucas Glover, Matthieu Pavon and Matt Kuchar. Collin Morikawa, Tony Finau and Sungjae Im also are in the field.

They are joined by major champion Nelly Korda, a nine-time winner on the LPGA Tour.

Of the 19 players ranked in the top 50 in the world in the Cognizant Classic, 11 are scheduled to play at Seminole. Weather, though, could impact tee times for Monday's pro-member.

Among the notable members playing Monday: Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh, NBA champion Shane Battier and Chuck Schwab.

Hall of Famers Ernie Els and Nick Price of Jupiter and Padraig Harrington, who is entering the World Golf Hall of Fame this year, will tee it up Monday.

Woods is in a group with Thomas and Waugh; Brady is playing with Finau and Els; McIlroy, his father and Harrington are grouped.

In 2023, Seminole announced LIV golfers were not welcomed into their event. That decision was made by Jimmy Dunne, the president of Seminole. Dunne, of North Palm Beach, who joined the PGA Tour policy board in 2022, was part of the team that negotiated the framework agreement between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, which bankrolls LIV Golf.

Dunne is playing in the pro-member with Ryan Fox and Danny Willett.
