Thursday's Top Prep Performers from five fall sports

Highlights from Thursday and Friday in high school sports:

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Thursday

  • London Halvorsen finished with seven kills and Leah Curtin had six kills and 12 digs to lead unbeaten Thousand Oaks (5-0) to a 25-16, 28-26, 25-18 sweep of Oak Park in a nonleague match.

  • Joia McJimpson and Ava Galvan each had nine kills, Alexis O’Keefe finished with eight kills, Kiyomi Kohno had 30 assists and two aces, and Piper Grant served seven aces to lead Agoura to a 25-7, 23-25, 25-22, 25-12 victory over Simi Valley in a nonleague match.

  • Kate Duffey finished with 24 assists, 16 digs and four blocks, Sophia Sletten had 13 kills and six digs, Gigi Scaglia had eight kills and seven digs, and Chloe Simpson contributed 10 digs to lead Ventura (8-2, 3-0) to a 25-19, 25-16, 25-21 sweep of Oxnard in a Channel League match. Val Ibarra finished with 22 assists, Laney Ramirez had 10 kills and two blocks, and Jessica Camarillo had 10 digs for the Yellowjackets (1-4, 1-2).

  • Jill Lan compiled 18 kills, 11 digs and two aces, Kenadie Kiech finished with six kills, three aces and two blocks, Aaliyah Custodio had four kills and two blocks, and Tikva Kotel had 15 digs to lead Rio Mesa to a 25-20, 25-15, 23-25, 25-11 win over Pacifica in a Channel League match.

  • Shai Daniels had 11 kills and 12 digs, Ashley Sulkowski had eight kills, Halleigh Paquette contributed nine digs, and Sydney Davis finished with 17 assists and nine digs for Buena in its 25-20, 25-23, 25-18 loss to Dos Pueblos in a Channel League match.

  • Camarillo defeated St. Bonaventure 19-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-20 in a nonleague match. For the Seraphs (6-3), Kaitlin Logan had 12 kills, nine digs, three aces and two assists, Soraya Forbes had 11 kills and a dig, Sienna Huckestein finished with 35 assists, and Maggie Daily added six kills, seven digs, three blocks and two aces.

  • Ayzlinn Trefren finished with nine kills, seven digs and six aces, Emily Ford had 12 kills and three aces, Kyriah Trefren had 12 digs and three aces, and Ella Buonauro compiled 30 assists and three aces to lead Royal (6-4) to a 25-12, 25-12, 25-10 sweep of Viewpoint in a nonleague match.

  • Sarah Shaw had 21 kills, five blocks and four digs, Logan Burns finished with eight kills and five digs, and Emily Morge had seven kills and two digs to lead La Reina to a 25-12, 22-25, 26-24, 25-18 win over Newbury Park in a nonleague match.

  • Oaks Christian lost to Sierra Canyon 25-16, 20-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-7 in a nonleague match.

  • Villanova Prep lost 25-22, 25-16, 25-21 to Bishop Diego in a nonleague match.

GIRLS GOLF

Thursday

  • Ventura finished first as a team with a 249 score and Audrey Yoong of Foothill Tech was the medalist with a 41 at the annual Ventura City Cup at Olivas Links Golf Course. Lorne Rieman led the Cougars with a 43 to finish second as an individual. Sierra Engel finished third with a 46 for second-place Buena (257). Foothill Tech was third with a 287 and St. Bonaventure was fourth with a 315.

  • Freshman Carolyn Rao earned medalist honors with a 36 and sophomore Alesia Barry followed with a 37 to lead Oaks Christian (2-0) to a 206-221 win over rival Westlake in a nonleague match at Sterling Hills Golf Course. Isbel Lee led the Warriors (0-1) with a 42.

  • Lily Huynh and Nina Xu each fired a 1-under 33 to share medalist honors and Sailor Graham shot a 34 as Oak Park (4-0, 2-0) posted a team-record 5-over score to beat Camarillo 224-175 in a Coastal Canyon League match at Los Robles Greens Golf Course. Mei Li Root led the Scorpions (0-3, 0-2) with a 40.

  • Shriya Patel shot a 45 and Prisha Patel had a 47 for Agoura (1-1) in its 174-253 loss to Valencia in a nonleague match at Westlake Golf Course.

GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL

Thursday

  • Royal improved to 2-0 with a 20-0 victory over Moorpark.

  • Camarillo defeated Bishop Diego 20-6.

  • Thousand Oaks defeated Agoura 13-6 for the Lancers' first program victory.

Friday

  • Oak Park defeated Simi Valley 22-0.

GIRLS TENNIS

Thursday

  • Oaks Christian opened its season with a 12-6 win over Royal in a nonleague match.

  • Camarillo defeated Newbury Park 11-7 in a nonleague match.

  • Oak Park improved to 3-1 on the season with a 15-3 win over Louisville in a nonleague match.

  • Agoura lost to Valencia 12-6 in a nonleague match.

  • Villanova Prep defeated host Santa Paula 16-2 in a nonleague match.

BOYS WATER POLO

Thursday

  • Thousand Oaks edged Newbury Park 10-9.

  • Agoura defeated Malibu 11-6.
