Texans WR Johnson, LT Brown iffy for Sunday
Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and left tackle Duane Brown could miss Sunday's game at Baltimore with injuries.
Johnson suffered a concussion with two minutes left in the fourth quarter Sunday, hauling in a catch along the sideline to set up the game-tying touchdown. Johnson was decked by former teammate Bernard Pollard of the Tennessee Titans, who popped Johnson with a shoulder-to-helmet hit that left Johnson woozy.
Coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday that Johnson would be subject to the NFL's concussion protocol and didn't anticipate knowing the Pro Bowl wide receiver's status until late in the week.
Brown is battling turf toe and said he'll be a game-time decision against the Ravens this week.
"Had someone fall on me ... Injured my right big toe," said Brown, a Pro Bowl tackle who has had two other minor injuries since the start of training camp. "It's a pretty bad case of turf toe. Just taking it one day at at time, see how it heals by the end of the week."
Rookie wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had seven receptions for 118 yards and the game-winning touchdown in overtime last week and would assume the No. 1 receiver role if Johnson misses Sunday's game.
Veteran Ryan Harris, a journeyman in his second season with Houston, would start at left tackle in Brown's stead.
