Tracking Tennessee Titans roster cuts as 2023 depth chart, 53-man roster set
The Tennessee Titans have to trim their depth chart and roster to 53 players on Tuesday in advance of the start of the 2023 NFL season.
Tuesday is the deadline for NFL teams to cut their rosters from 90 players. For the Titans, this means making tough decisions at positions such as wide receiver, tight end, offensive line, defensive line and defensive back where they've carried a surplus of players throughout training camp in search for quality depth.
The Titans began the process of winnowing down the roster Sunday by waiving six players, most notably kicker Michael Badgley, whom the team had just signed a week prior. This move left the Titans without a kicker on roster.
