Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals WR, returns from hamstring injury vs Kansas City Chiefs
Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday's NFL Week 17 loss to the AFC rival Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
Higgins returned to the game during the third quarter. Per The Enquirer's Charlie Goldsmith, Higgins explained after the game that he played through the injury because of what the game meant to the Bengals.
Higgins finished the game with one catch for 19 yards on two targets.
Near the end of the first quarter, Higgins was on the bench with a heavy jacket on and no helmet. The Bengals announced Higgins was questionable to return.
"He just cannot stay healthy for any length of time," CBS play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz said.
Higgins, in his fourth season with the Bengals, was playing in his 12th game of the season after missing several games earlier in the year with a rib injury he suffered against the Tennessee Titans.
More from The Enquirer's Charlie Goldsmith:
A ripple effect of the Tee Higgins injury and the Bengals decision to be thin at corner: Chase Brown is at gunner right now. Andrei Iosivas is getting more snaps on offense, so the Bengals needed to make a change to the punt coverage unit.
