Missouri has signed two transfer quarterbacks within a matter of two weeks. Former TCU QB Shawn Robinson signed with Missouri on Tuesday, two weeks after former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant said he was transferring to the Tigers.

Bryant is a graduate transfer and is eligible immediately. He’ll presumably be Missouri’s starting QB in 2019. Robinson has to sit out a season, so Bryant will be starting while he’s on the bench because of NCAA rules. Starting in 2020, Robinson will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Robinson was TCU’s starter to begin 2018

Robinson announced he was leaving TCU at the end of the regular season. He opened the season as the team’s starter as a sophomore and played in the first seven games of the season as TCU went 3-4. He suffered a left (non-throwing) shoulder injury against Iowa State and played against Texas Tech and Oklahoma after. But he underwent season-ending shoulder surgery after he was pulled during the Oklahoma game and replaced by Michael Collins.

Robinson finished the season 123-of-203 passing for 1,326 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also had 49 carries for 230 yards and three touchdowns. His best game of the season came in the season-opener against Southern when he completed 70 percent of his passes, threw three touchdowns and rushed for two others.

Missouri was in the market for quarterbacks of the future because Drew Lock is a senior and will play his final game against Oklahoma State in the Liberty Bowl on Dec. 31. Assuming that three-star prospect Connor Bazelak signs with Missouri as expected on Wednesday, the Tigers could have six scholarship quarterbacks on the roster for 2019 if there are no transfers or departures.
