The Taunton Tornadoes 10U outscored opponents an astounding 60-1. Here's how they did it.

DIGHTON — The high school baseball and softball teams weren't the only Taunton teams to take home trophies this weekend.

The Taunton Tornadoes 10U team improved to 23-0 on the season Sunday as they won their fourth straight tournament, the 13th annual Eddie Silvia Dighton Softball Tournament at the Lopes Complex, allowing just one run while scoring 60.

“They do all the little things the right way,” Tornadoes coach Peter Buffington said. ”Our pitching staff has been unbelievable. Our defense does not make too many mistakes. What is most impressive is way they can hit the ball, all 11 of them. Everybody on our team is contributing to the success.”
