The Pittsburgh Steelers updated its official depth chart on Tuesday. Here are some things we saw that stood out.

The starting outside cornerbacks remain Levi Wallace and Patrick Peterson despite their struggles.

Much like when the Steelers traded for Ahkello Witherspoon, the Steelers took their time getting Desmond King involved in the defense. Hopefully he can add some spark to a struggling secondary.

The struggles of the offense have really impacted what Calvin Austin III has been able to do.

With DeMarvin Leal in the concussion protocol, new co-starter Keeanu Benton could get his first NFL start this week.

The Steelers have multiple starters listed at a lot of spots. Both inside linebacker spots, nickel cornerback, strong safety and defensive tackle all have “or” situations for the first string. This feels very non-committal and I don’t see how it helps the team prepare.

Not that anyone returns kicks anymore but it is interesting that Desmond King has moved ahead of Gunner Olszewski on the depth chart.
