Toronto Raptors snap Phoenix Suns' seven-game win streak

The Phoenix Suns (11-7) lost 112-105 at the Toronto Raptors (9-10) on Wednesday, ending their seven-game win streak.

This was the finale of Phoenix's three-game road trip, and the second of a back-to-back for Toronto.

Kevin Durant had the game-high 30 points and also had six assists for Phoenix. Yusuf Nurkic had 19 points, a game-high 14 rebounds, matched Durant's team-high six assists, and had two blocks.

Devin Booker missed much of the third quarter after he injured his right ankle early in that period. He struggled on just 2-of-12 shooting for a season-low eight points, and added five assists and five rebounds in the loss.

Scottie Barnes had his team-best 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the victory. Toronto's All-Star Pascal Siakam had 22 points, nine rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Phoenix's next game is against the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets on Friday, the first of back-to-back home contests.

Raptors still lead Suns entering 4th quarter

Phoenix trails Toronto 86-80 at the end of the third. However, Phoenix barely won the period 27-26 after tying with Toronto twice and having two lead changes.

Kevin Durant has 19 points and Yusuf Nurkic is having the best shooting performance on 7-of-10 for 17 points for Phoenix.

Toronto's Pascal Siakam has the game-high 20 points on 50% shooting and seven boards.

Booker rolls ankle early in 3rd quarter

Devin Booker was substituted by Jordan Goodwin at the 10:11 mark in the third after he drove and kicked the ball out. He landed his right foot awkwardly on Toronto's Dennis Schroder's foot, and rolled his ankle.

After Booker was treated by the medical staff, but returned to the game at four minutes left as Phoenix was tied with Toronto at 74-74. He has six points and three assists thus far.

Suns struggle shooting, face halftime deficit

Phoenix is down 60-53 at the break. Toronto's biggest lead of the first half was 12 points.

Kevin Durant has 13 points on 4-of-10 from the field, and Yusuf Nurkic has Phoenix's second-most 10 points. Devin Booker hasn't shot well thus far on 1-of-8 shooting for just six points.

Like Booker, Phoenix hasn't found its shooting rhythm, hitting just 18-of-44 and a meager 3-of-12 FG from beyond the arc.

Suns down by single digits after 1st quarter

The Raptors took a 27-20 lead over Phoenix at the end of the first period.

Toronto jumped out to a 16-9 lead through the first five minutes and led the rest of the quarter.

Starting lineups

Phoenix is starting Devin Booker and Eric Gordon in the backcourt, Josh Okogie and Kevin Durant at the three and four spots, and Yusuf Nurkic at center.

Toronto will open with Dennis Schroder running the point, Scottie Barnes at shooting guard, OG Anunoby starting at small forward, two-time All-Star Pascal Siakam at the four, and Jakob Poeltl in the middle.

Durant in, Allen out vs. Raptors

Kevin Durant was ruled in for Wednesday night's game in Toronto, after missing the previous two games with a right foot contusion, The Arizona Republic's Duane Rankin reported.

Phoenix's Grayson Allen (illness), has been ruled out. Allen filled the starting two-guard slot in the team's first 15 game during Bradley Beal's absence with lower back tightness. He's Phoenix's second-best 3-point shooter at 47.5% per game.

Tourney time vs. Lakers

The Phoenix Suns are officially advancing to the NBA In-Season Tournament “knockout round,” or quarterfinals as a West wild card. Winners of their last seven games, Phoenix (11-6) finished 3-1 in West Group A play. The Suns will play the Los Angeles Lakers (10-8) in a quarterfinal game on Dec. 5 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The Dec. 7 semifinals and Dec. 9 championship game will be played in Las Vegas.
