Steph Curry remains optimistic over Warriors’ postseason chances
The Golden State Warriors produced an impressive second-half performance to overcome the Miami Heat on Tuesday. The win halted the team’s slide, allowing Golden State to reset its momentum and add a much-needed win as it fights off the advances of the 11th-place Houston Rockets.
After the game, Steph Curry told the media that his team’s performance showed why the Warriors can still beat any team in the league, as long as they play their brand of basketball. Curry’s comments can be taken as a sign of optimism as the franchise gears up for a potentially grueling foray into the play-in tournament.
“That’s why we think we’re still a good team that can beat anybody,” Curry said. “Our defense can travel. We’ve had good performances. Even at home, we’ve had big leads on good teams, but we’ve let it slip. You are what your record is. But we do feel like we’ve underachieved on that front. There’s still belief that you can get hot and establish the identity that you need to have to be a team that can win four games against anybody in a playoff series.”
The Warriors had four players in double digits against the Heat. They also displayed a much-needed physicality and commitment on the defensive end, as they overcame a tough matchup against the 2023 NBA finalists.

Golden State has maintained its one game advantage over Houston with the win over Miami. Steve Kerr and his coaching staff need to ensure the wins keep coming, if they want to have a shot at making the postseason.
