Spurs’ Blake Wesley chopped it up with Dick Vitale at Notre Dame

San Antonio Spurs rookie Blake Wesley returned to Notre Dame this weekend and had the opportunity to talk to a legend in the sport while on campus.

Wesley was named to the All-ACC second team last season after averaging 14.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals with the Fighting Irish. He was the only true freshman in the nation to record at least 450 points, 100 rebounds, 75 assists, 50 3s and 40 steals.

The 25th pick hit the court on Saturday and was seen chopping it up with Hall of Famer Dick Vitale afterward. The ESPN college basketball analyst was in South Bench and spoke with Wesley after watching him take part in some on-court activities.

Wesley was also spotted at Notre Dame Stadium as the football team hosted Cal on Saturday. The Fighting Irish picked up their first win of the season after knocking off the Bears, 24-17, as quarterback Drew Pyne threw two touchdowns.

The appearance by Wesley comes with the offseason in its final stages as training camp begins in just over a week. He is one of three first-round picks set to debut this season with the Spurs as they look to build on their 34-48 record last year.

San Antonio opens up its preseason schedule on Oct. 2.
