That means the races for division titles are heating up and the push toward the postseason is in full swing.

Here's a look at Week 6 action:

South Jersey's Games to Watch

Willingboro (4-2) at Pennsauken (4-1), Friday, 6 p.m.

A piece of the West Jersey Football League Liberty Division title will be on the line when two red-hot squads battle. Willingboro has won three straight games, including last week’s 24-20 victory over Eastside. Sophomore quarterback Lamar Best has thrown for a TD in five of the team’s six games and has 17 touchdowns passes for season, raising his career total to 40. If Willingboro wins, the Chimeras could win the title outright with a victory over Burlington Township in two weeks. Pennsauken has rattled off three consecutive victories since a 14-6 loss in triple overtime to Eastside. Elijah Jennings rushed for four touchdowns in Friday’s 35-14 win over Delran.

Shawnee (3-3) at Millville (4-1), Friday, 6 p.m.

While Shawnee owns a 7-3 lead in the overall series, Millville has posted wins in each of the last two meetings, including a 21-10 decision in Medford last fall. After starting the season at 3-0 Shawnee enters this game on a three-game skid. The team has surrendered 21 or more points in five of its six games. That should have the Thunderbolts energized. Millville has posted 21 or more points in all four of its victories since a season-opening loss to Toms River North. Junior Lotzeir Brooks continues to ascend up the South Jersey all-time scoring list. According to South Jersey football historian, Brooks’ 33 career touchdowns ranks fifth in the region’s history while his 130 career receptions and 2,354 career receiving yards rank 15th and 13th, respectively.

Clearview (2-3) at Kingsway (4-2), Friday, 6 p.m.

The Battle for Route 322 will be waged again, this time in Woolwich Township. Kingsway has won the previous two meetings by a 73-13 combined score but Clearview won three straight from 2017-2019, including a 14-7 double-overtime game to end the stretch. Five of the last eight meetings have been decided by one score. Clearview has been on the see-saw this season, alternating Ls and Ws over the first five weeks. Kingsway is coming off a 28-21 overtime win over Eastern.

Winslow (5-1) at Washington Twp. (4-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

Winslow will look to end a three-game road trip on a positive note as the team looks to extend its winning streak to six. The Eagles have generated 211 points this season, which ranks sixth in the West Jersey Football League and is fourth among South Jersey squads. Winslow’s passing attack has been impressive, ranking up over 1,400 yards with junior Deante Ruffin (396 yards, five touchdowns) and freshman Jalen Parker (989, 12). Washington Township plays its first home game since Sept. 14 when it suffered a tough 34-28 setback in double overtime to Holy Spirit.

Hammonton (4-2) at Timber Creek (5-0), Friday, 6 p.m.

The WJFL Memorial crown will be up for grabs in Gloucester Township in this showdown. Hammonton can win the title outright with a win while Timber Creek could win at least a share of the title with a victory. The Chargers still have divisional opponent Eastern left on the schedule (Oct. 20). Hammonton’s Kenny Smith surpassed the 1,000-yard mark last week, achieving the feat in back-to-back seasons. He has scored a touchdown in 15 of his last 18 games, good for 32 total, dating back to last year. Timber Creek won its first five games last season before losing four of its final five contests. The last time the Chargers went 6-0 was in 2017 when they finished 10-1.

Moorestown (4-2) at Seneca (4-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

If either of these teams still wants a shot at least a share of the WJFL National Division title, they must get a win and hope for some help from other teams to knock off Paul VI. Moorestown saw its four-game winning streak end with a 17-10 loss to Paul VI last week. The Quakers will try to shrug off their second-half slumps that has plagued the team in recent years. Over the final six games of the season, the team has gone 1-5 each of the last three campaigns. Seneca has rebounded with consecutive wins following a 28-27 loss to Paul VI on Sept. 14. Senior Zac Fearon has rushed for multiple touchdowns in each of the Golden Eagles’ five games this season and has 13 rushing TDs total.

Woodbury (3-2) at Woodstown (4-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

These two Group 1 squads are battling for position in the power rankings with defending state champion Woodbury holding down the No. 4 spot and Woodstown at No. 6. The Thundering Herd has lost back-to-back games for the first time since 2020. Woodstown rebounded from a 13-7 overtime loss to Glassboro with a 27-0 victory over Salem last week.

Northern Burlington (4-2) at Paul VI (4-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

The Greyhounds, winners of three straight, need to post a victory here to keep any thoughts of a divisional championship alive. The team has recorded 21 or more points in each game during the win streak. Paul VI has reeled off four consecutive wins, including a pair of one-score victories over the last two weeks. The Eagles have been tough at home, going 12-3 in their next since 2020, including a 2-0 mark this season.

Penns Grove (2-4) at Glassboro (3-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

Penns Grove rattled off 22 unanswered points in the second half, including 14 in the closing minutes of regulation to earn a 22-19 win over Paulsboro. Glassboro has won two straight with an overtime victory over Woodstown and a 16-8 triumph over Clayton.

Haddonfield (5-0) at Camden (5-1), Saturday, 2 p.m.

Two perennial powers face off at Farnham Park with each carrying long winning streaks into the game. Haddonfield has outscored its opponents 157-30 over its five-game unbeaten streak. The Haddons haven't allowed more than seven points in a game since their opener (a 24-10 victory over West Essex). Camden has won five straight since a 37-18 loss to Lake Taylor (Va.) in its opener. The Panthers are one of the highest scoring teams in the region, putting up 216 points in their six games. With a win, Camden would win the WJFL Constitution title while a Haddonfield win would give the Haddons the inside track to the crown. Camden has won the last two meetings between the two squads.
