South Dakota boys tennis: Lincoln wins 10th consecutive state championship
Lincoln continued its dominant showing at this year’s Class AA state tournament, winning its 10th consecutive state championship. They defeated O’Gorman, the runner’s up, by 127.5 points.
The Patriots scored 555.5 points total. Lincoln won four of the six singles flights and two of the three doubles flights.
Washington finished third, staying ahead of fourth-place Yankton by over 100 points. The Warriors’ Harold Mayer won the singles flight two championship and O’Gorman’s Liam Sarmiento won the singles flight four championship. The Knights team of Samuel Hayden and August Jackson also won the flight three doubles championship.
