South Carolina softball live score updates vs Duke in NCAA tournament regional final
South Carolina softball will need to beat Duke twice to advance to the super regional in the NCAA tournament.
The second-seeded Gamecocks (36-23) lost 8-0 in six innings to top seed Duke (47-6) on Saturday, dropping the Gamecocks into the loser's bracket in the Durham Regional.
The regional final will start at 3:53 p.m. If South Carolina beats Duke it will force a deciding game on Monday at 2:30 p.m.
South Carolina avoided elimination with a 5-1 victory over third-seeded Utah on Sunday .
It was a rematch for South Carolina after defeating the Utes 2-1 in the NCAA tournament opener Friday.
South Carolina's game against Utah was scheduled to begin Saturday at 4 p.m. The game was moved to Sunday at 1 p.m. due to inclement weather in the forecast.
This is the 24th NCAA tournament appearance for the Gamecocks, including the ninth under coach Beverly Smith.
