Sources: MRI results clean on Warriors guard Patrick McCaw's lower back after scary fall

After a scary fall in which Patrick McCaw lost feeling in his legs for a moment, MRI results on the Golden State Warriors guard’s lower back returned structurally sound, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

There is no timetable for McCaw’s return, but he was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.

McCaw was accidentally undercut on a play by Sacramento Kings veteran Vince Carter in the second half of the Warriors’ win on Saturday night and needed to be taken off the court on a stretcher and transported to UC Davis Medical Center. He had further tests, including a CT scan, that returned clean on Saturday night.

McCaw, 6-foot-5 and able to play multiple positions, has been a critical part of the Golden State bench in his two NBA seasons. He was the 38th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft, quickly emerging as a versatile defensive player and developing offensive threat.

The Warriors are 55-21 and firmly entrenched in the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference standings.
