Free-agent forward Kris Humphries has agreed to a one-year, $4 million deal to return to the Atlanta Hawks, league sources told The Vertical.

Humphries, 31, had interest on the market as a stretch power forward. He informed the Hawks of his decision to re-sign Monday night.

In 12 NBA seasons, Humphries has averaged 6.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He emerged as a productive rotation player early in his career, including a career season in 2011-12, when he averaged 13.8 points and 11 rebounds for the Nets.

He split last season between Atlanta, Phoenix and Washington and became a long-distance shooting threat.

The Hawks have retooled their roster this summer after losing Al Horford, trading Jeff Teague, signing Dwight Howard and Jarrett Jack, and retaining Kent Bazemore.

Humphries was the 14th overall pick in the 2004 NBA draft.
