Source: LB Sean Weatherspoon, Cardinals agree on one-year deal
Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon will sign a one-year deal worth just south of $4 million with the Arizona Cardinals, a league source told Yahoo Sports.
Weatherspoon has battled a series of injuries during his five-year career, missing all of last year with a torn Achilles he suffered in June and nine games in 2013 with foot and knee ailments. But in the 29 games he played during the 2011 and 2012 seasons, he had 211 tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble and an interception.
Weatherspoon looks to restart his stalled career on the short-term deal in Arizona after five years with the Falcons, who made him the 19th overall pick in the 2010 draft.
