Sooners offer 2025 offensive tackle from Texas

The Oklahoma Sooners are working to put a bow on the 2024 Recruiting Class. That doesn’t mean they aren’t hard at work for the 2025 Recruiting Class as well.

The Sooners currently have five commitments in the 2025 cycle, giving them the third-best class in the nation. Four of those five are on the offensive side of the ball.

The Sooners hope to add to that as they offered a 6-foot-5 275-pound offensive tackle from Cypress, TX, Ryan Fodje. Fodje is currently an unrated prospect in the cycle, but it won’t be long before that changes.

It’s not uncommon for players in a future cycle to not be rated. However,  Bill Bedenbaugh obviously sees something he likes in the young lineman.

There aren’t many highlights out there of the young offensive lineman but the ones that are available show off his raw ability. Fodje does a pretty good job at finishing his blocks. That’s something Bedenbaugh loves to have in his offensive linemen. Fodje also displays good movement with an ability to work to the second level to create running lanes for his backs.

Fodje is still a young and upcoming player. So, there are definitely flaws in his game. But the potential is there. It’ll be interesting to see how he plays this season and where he’ll land in future 2025 rankings updates.
