Softball: North Hunterdon the top seed in Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament
The 2024 Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament bracket was released Monday and the defending champion North Hunterdon High School softball team was awarded the No. 1 seed.
The Lions (9-5) defeated Hunterdon Central in last year’s final. The Red Devils (5-7) were assigned the No. 8 seed in this year’s tournament. High Point is the No. 2 seed.
The top 2 seeds have a double bye into the quarterfinals, with the No. 3 through No. 9 seeds off until the second round.

The tournament begins Wednesday with first-round games and the second round is scheduled to be played by Saturday. The quarterfinals are set for May 8, the semifinals are May 11 – all at the higher seed -- with the final Wednesday, May 15 at Phillipsburg High School’s athletics complex.

16-Vernon at 13-South Hunterdon, winner at 4-Pope John XXIII
9- Lenape Valley at 8-Hunterdon Central in second round, winner at 1-North Hunterdon in quarterfinals
17-Hopatcong at 12-Voorhees, winner at 5-North Warren
18-Kittatinny at 11-Hackettstown, winner at 6-Warren Hills
15-Newton at 14-Wallkill Valley, winner at 3-Sparta
19-Belvidere at 10-Phillipsburg, winner at 7-Delaware Valley, winner at 2-High Point in quarterfinals
