Social media reacts to Texas’ 41-34 loss to Oklahoma State
Texas’ second half nightmares came to fruition yet again in the 41-34 loss to Oklahoma State.
The Longhorns watched a double-digit lead disappear behind an abysmal offensive performance. Texas mustered just three second half points as Oklahoma State finished on a 17-0 run.
The late-game woes are becoming a common trend under Steve Sarkisian. This marks the fifth game in his short Texas career the Longhorns have blown a two-possession second-half lead.
Quinn Ewers and his wide receiver seemed to be on different pages all night. Ewers threw completed just 19 of 49 passes for two touchdowns and three interceptions.
Spender Sanders and an injury battled Cowboys team moved the football with easy. Texas’ defense had no answers for Oklahoma State’s quick passing and quarterback run game.
Texas enters the bye week with a record of 5-3 and many questions to figure out. Unfortunately, the schedule does not get any easier with No. 17 Kansas State and No. 8 TCU on the horizon.
Here is how social media reacted to Texas’ disappointing loss in Stillwater.

You’re the better team every week but you beat yourself every week.

That one hurts. Crazy similar to the Tech game, unfortunately.

Tough way to end the game with the tip drill INT. Learning moment for JTS
Brutal loss considering the double digit blown lead & how many chances the Longhorn offense had to put it away.
