How social media reacted to Ja Morant's suspension from Stephen A. Smith to Colin Cowherd

Grizzlies' Ja Morant (12) warms up prior to the start of Game 5 between the Memphis Grizzlies and LA Lakers in their first round NBA playoffs series at FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn., on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Here we go again.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced Friday that Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant would be suspended for 25 games with conditions to return.

Shortly after, Morant issued a statement apologizing for his actions on May 14, where he was flashing a gun on Instagram Live.

This followed an earlier incident where Morant was shown brandishing a gun on his own Instagram account on March 4, after a 113-97 loss to the Nuggets.

Along with several other off-the-court incidents throughout the 2022-23 NBA season, Morant has stated that he will take this time to work on his mental health and his decision-making.

As usual, the fireworks started popping off on social media. From ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith to FS1’s Colin Cowherd, here are the reactions from media members and wonders what’s next for Morant.
