Derrick Rose is expected to return to Memphis after agreeing to a two-year deal with the Grizzlies in NBA free agency on Friday.

The move would reunite Rose with the city he wowed in 2008, when he took the Tigers basketball program to the NCAA title game in his only college season.

Now the 14-year NBA veteran is expected to add veteran leadership to a young core of Grizzlies players that will be without start point guard Ja Morant for the first 25 games of next season.

So how are fans reacting to Rose's impending return? He's a rundown of the best reaction on social media:

This tweet is a throwback.

Who can forget Rose's lack of emotion during 2012 NBA All-Star game introductions? As teammates LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Dwight Howard were trying to hype up the Orlando crowd, Rose was stone cold in his lack of reaction.

This fan points out that with both Rose and Smart on the team now, the Grizzlies will have their veteran leadership that the team was seeking.

Last season, it seems that Steven Adams was the veteran leader of the group, encouraging young players not to go out on late night excursions on road trips. Smart brings the vocal leadership that the group needed, and now Rose will serve as another veteran leader to the group.

This fan refers to a scene from the instant classic movie Remember the Titans, which was released in 2000. In the scene, Coach Herman Boone is telling his players that he will not have fun around here and it's time to get serious.

Ja Morant has stunned the league with his athletic ability and already has an impressive collection of poster-worthy dunks. Fans are noticing his landing habits and wonder whether it could be detrimental to his career. Rose, who suffered multiple injuries throughout his career that limited his athletic ability, including an ACL tear, knows how important fundamentals are.
