Sixers star Ben Simmons to return in road matchup with the Knicks

The Philadelphia 76ers will be heading into Sunday’s road matchup with the New York Knicks still shorthanded without the services of their superstar big man in Joel Embiid as well as Seth Curry, but they will at least be getting one star back in the lineup.

After missing Saturday’s win over the Sacramento Kings due to left knee soreness, Ben Simmons will return on Sunday against the Knicks. One would think that probably because the Sixers were on a back-to-back and they had a tough road matchup with New York on Sunday, Philadelphia sat Simmons on Saturday for the tougher matchup.

The Sixers will be facing off with a Knicks team that gave them a run for their money in their previous matchup on Tuesday in Philadelphia. They needed some clutch buckets from Tobias Harris in order to close out the win so they will need all hands on deck for the one. The Knicks are a tough and physical basketball team.

Tipoff from Madison Square Garden is at 8 p.m. EST to begin a road trip.
