Sixers rookie Jaden Springer struggles a bit in Blue Coats loss

While the Philadelphia 76ers are on a current 6-game road trip just hoping to get healthy, their rookie wing is down in the G League putting in the work to try and get to the NBA level again.

Young Jaden Springer, the 28th pick of the 2021 NBA draft, is still young as ever at just 19-years old. At this point, he is just not ready to contribute on a team like the Sixers who are looking to contend for a championship.

Therefore, he is with the team’s G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats in order to develop. After scoring 21 points in his team debut on Friday, Springer had some struggles on Sunday scoring just four points on 0-for-3 shooting with four rebounds and six turnovers in a 113-108 loss to the Maine Celtics.

As mentioned before, the kid is only 19-years old and there will be growing pains. Springer just needs to continue to stay focused and look to get the job done in the G League in order to grow as a player.
