Sin City Celtics fall to Las Vegas Heat 99-88 despite strong debut from Boston rookie Jordan Walsh

Jordan Walsh, the Boston Celtics‘ No. 38 pick of the 2023 NBA draft, had himself the sort of performance in Boston’s 99-88 loss to the Miami Heat in Las Vegas Summer League you want to see from a player the Celtics’ front office has high hopes for with a team-high 18 points on a sizzling 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range.

Guard Jay Scrubb added another 17 points off of the bench, forward Justin Bean 13 points and 7 rebounds, and two way point guard JD Davison had himself a solid game as well with 14 points and 11 assists, the team’s only double-double.

The Sin City Celtics had a solid showing nearly from tip to buzzer with the ball club letting go of the rope late in the fourth quarter, falling to 0-1 in Las Vegas Summer League play with the loss to Miami.

Boston next plays the Washington Wizards at 7:30 pm ET on Sunday, July 9.
