Series recap: The first-place Norfolk Tides took four of six games from the Jumbo Shrimp, leaving Jacksonville hovering just above the .500 mark at 19-18.

Highlight: It wasn't the normal kind of highlight, but it was a winner nonetheless for the Jumbo Shrimp. Tides reliever Reed Garrett committed a balk in the bottom of the ninth on Wednesday, allowing Brian Miller to walk home from third with the game-ending run in Jacksonville's 3-2 victory.

Crustacean sensation: Back with the Jumbo Shrimp after a week-long stint in the National League with the Miami Marlins, Xavier Edwards is playing like someone ready to return to MLB sooner rather than later. He batted .347 in the Norfolk series, including three doubles, while drawing four walks.

On deck: The Bats, Triple-A affiliates of the Cincinnati Reds, have won five of their last seven but remain well off the pace in the 10-team International League West. New to the roster is a familiar face for the First Coast: former University of North Florida pitcher Franklin German, acquired May 8 from the Chicago White Sox. Louisville also includes a pair of infielders rated among the Reds' top five prospects in Elly De La Cruz (.278, 6 HR, 17 RBI, .958 OPS) and Matt McLain (.348, 12 HR, 40 RBI, 1.148 OPS).

Probable pitchers Tuesday: Jacksonville's Sean Nolin (1-0, 3.22) meets a Louisville pitcher to be determined.
