See Nick Folk kick winner for Titans in OT thriller over Chargers

Nick Folk's perfect start for the Tennessee Titans in 2023 continued in a big way Sunday.

Folk made the winning 41-yard field goal with 5:02 left in overtime at the suddenly rainy Nissan Stadium to lift the Titans past the Los Angeles Chargers 27-24.

Tennessee earned its first win since Nov. 17, a span of eight games, and it came after it trailed 11-0 in the second quarter.

Folk is 7-for-7 on field goals and 3-for-3 on extra points after two games.

The Titans acquired Folk, 38, from the New England Patriots for a 2025 seventh-round pick shortly after the final preseason game to give some stability to the kicking game. Tennessee signed three kickers during the offseason and preseason to try to replace the outgoing Randy Bullock. None of the trio stuck.

"He's been really good," Titans coach Mike Vrabel said after the game. "That's what he has done. And that's what you need in this league — a guy that is reliable under critical situations."
